Ester posted a review for Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) in Movies
The Snyder Cut is more than a film, it is an event, an experience. I've never seen a director go all out on a project as Snyder did here. The cinematography was beautiful and jaw-dropping at times. The story was mind-blowing, the score was great, and the performances made these characters come to life on the screen. My favorite parts of the film were anything to do with the Flash or Superman, and the action sequences, oh the action sequences were breathtaking. The editing was superb and the choice to break the film into chapters was wise considering the film is 4 hours long. I haven't felt like I did while watching a film in a while.

Ester posted a review for Roohi (2021) in Movies
Roohi is the first Bollywood movie released across all movie halls in India post- There are plenty of comic reliefs in the first half. However, I was not ok to see 'Pakdaai shaadi' shown in the movie. It made me feel a bit cringy about it and I hate cringy things. The saving grace was the duo of Rajkumar and Varun where I enjoyed their scenes. They look great buddies doing sill things, saying silly things. Specially Varun who has plenty of such silly lines. I did not like many of those lines but I liked his innocent act. However, I am still not able to digest his blind love for the Chudail side of Janhvi. Ye to too much hi ho gaya pandemic. I liked the end twist but again the execution is marred with clichés and stretched affair. Still, I feel that it will make you think and discuss it with your loved ones as the twist is something.

Ester posted a review for Raya and the Last Dragon (2021) in Movies
This movie is gorgeous to look at. The visuals alone represent a masterful achievement from Disney, it's hard not to concentrate only in the amazing animation that surrounds the movie. The voice acting is also great and the basic premise of the story is incredibly creative. However the movie is far from perfect; it mainly uses the same Disney formula that everyone knows by heart, creating a story that, although creative and well presented, feels repetitive and incredibly predictable. The humor in the movie falls flat at times and it can take the viewer out of the suspension of disbelief bubble that is required from a movie like this. Overall Raya and the last dragon is a proof that the Disney formula can work, however it falls flat in comparison to other films that the studio has done in the past.

Ester posted a review for The Girl on the Train (2021) in Movies
This movie is basically teaching us that you should not trust anybody by their current behavior and do not fall in love with some bad person which is going to stepped you. The great thrill and mystery will be good for any thriller movie lover . The touch of time showing in the movie will thrill you as well . At the end you will be pretty amazed by the mystery and time cycle shown in the movie. Parineeti has done wonderful job because in entire movie she looks like an alcoholic person .Eventually you will find out why she became that.

Ester posted a review for Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) in Movies
The theme of the film is very good, the idea of renouncing what you love is really interesting especially for someone like Diana. Gal Gadot is great as Wonder Woman and her dynamic with Chris Pines' character really does carry this film. Pedro Pascal was also good in the film too. The main issue for me was with its character developments, especially Kristen Wiig's' cheetah. I don't think her character as well as some of the other characters showed the right amount of development especially to justify what they do by the 3rd act of the film. The final scenes of the film for me didn't have that heavy, emotional weight that I think they were going to match the heavy underlying theme of the film. I also thought that there were issues with the continuity and I have to say I was underwhelmed with the final fight scenes. All in all, I thought that the film had its moments. I enjoyed what they were trying to pull off but I do have some issues with the execution. I do still think this is a fun film to watch.
