Coming from a capable director like Dibakar Banerjee and an equally talented writer like Varun Grover, I had fairly high expectations from this film. Let me tell you that I was not disappointed at all. The story is fresh, the performances are grounded and real, the cinematography is brilliant. The only flaw that I could find was with the pacing. It could've been 15-20 minutes shorter. But that pales in comparison to the good aspects of the film. So, watch this film while its still in theatres because it deserves your time and money. If you're worried about the other reviews calling the two leads' performances underwhelming or expressionless, just know that they have been spoiled by years of watching stars overact on screen. This film is as real as it gets.

If anyone likes a comedy twister thriller type movie then this movie is enough for him. Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar - the movie is directed by Dibakar Banerjee. Parineeti Chopra has tried to act with all her heart and has been successful. Arjun Kapoor's performance is also worth mentioning, but it could have been a little better. The two main central characters in this story - one is "Pinky" who is a Haryanavi Police Officer and the other is "Sandeep" who is a prominent person in the Corporate world. SANDEEP AUR PINKY FARAAR starts off on a thrilling note. The opening scene is filmed in one take and is almost 4-5 minutes long and the way it culminates is superb. The entry of Sandeep and Pinky in the narrative is also interesting. The scene where Sandeep breaks down in front of the old lady is moving while the scene where Sandeep and Pinky convince the old couple to let them stay in their house is sweet. After this point, the film goes downhill. The track of the corrupt bankers doesn’t really involve. In the second half, the only scene that arrests attention is when the bank manager, Sumit (Sukant Goel), attacks Sandeep. The climax is a letdown.

This is perhaps the best film in a long time. The narrative is fast and technically brilliant. The acting is impeccable and layered. The movie is not preachy and yet is provides an accurate picture of the times we live in. Brilliant performance by Parineeti. Arjun is surprisingly very good as well! Dibakar has directed it with so many intricate details and is a great one time watch.

Ignoring Arjun's performance the overall feel of the movie was amazing . All other performances were quite convincing as there roles . The writing by Varun and Dibakar Banerjee presented a very griping story . Also because of Dibakar Banerjee's direction even below average actors like the main leads Arjun and Parineeti were not that bad in their roles . Overall the movie should be appreciated for not going with the typical Bollywood approach.
