As someone who is a sports movie fan, I truly enjoyed watching this film. It’s much more about the journey of a man whose seen it all. Anyone who is expecting a Hoosiers style experience should stay home. This movie is much more about the trials and tribulations of a man who is trying to cope. Would recommend to anyone who has seen first hand what stress and pressure can do to someones mental stability.

While the animation was gorgeous and full of fun imagery, I felt the story was a touch lacking; especially with its two main characters. They were the stereotypical big doofus brother and insecure/anxious little brother who have to find common ground on a buddy road trip. Honestly, if the story had focused more on who the father really was and perhaps made Barley more of a father figure to Ian, I feel it would've been a lot more heartfelt and possibly have made me cry happy tears. But it followed a very typical formula of two brothers who don't understand each other, have a touching moment, then fight and blow up at each other, then give up, then join back together to defeat the 'bad guy'. The adventure itself was a bit bland and chuck full of random filler moments that added nothing to the overlapping theme. And speaking of which; I don't really know what the theme was... the tone was all over the place, too, which didn't help matters either. It's a harmless movie that'll surely make you laugh (as it did for me), but as storytelling goes it's alright, I suppose. Not groundbreaking like other Pixar films (Toy Story, Up, Inside Out), but you'll have a good time seeing it.

Hands down a must watch and clean entertainer for Tiger shroff fans. You cannot goto a Salman Khan movie and complain about script, you can't go to a SRK movie and say there's too much of emotional value , similarly don't go and complain about over the top action sequences. The script could have been better given the big expectations , however, Tiger does not disappoint and the heart of the movie is in the right place , Ritesh Deshmukh was refreshing to watch in a different kind of a role than usual. Shraddha looked more at ease doing this one and her experience is beginning to show . I usually urge not to not pay attention to the biased critics criticising about their personal views , political stances and commenting from their own narrow minded scope, but I guess by now the real fans are too clever to know that already. A complete masala entertainer and clean watch , must watch if it is entertainment you are seeking . I you seek attention instead, go watch Thappad !

Ravi posted a review for Thappad in Movies
Whatever i am writing may look like patriarchal. Please don't take it otherwise. Today I went to see movie THAPPAD. And i realized all the male characters in movie are incorrect all. Even Tapasi Pannu's father, whom movie shows as a genuine person, but he also was on fault because he never requested his wife to sing. Tapsi's Father in law, Brother in law, Husband, brother every body was wrong. Tapasi's husband slapped him in a situation when he was drunk, shattered and in a brawl with his Boss due to durty corporate politics. At that particular time Tapsi tried to pull him forcefully from the scene and in that friction He slapped her. OK WRONG WRONG WRONG. But can't it be solved by any other way except devorce breaking the family? Tapsi's brother's fionce (Not wife / neither family yet) was intervening into there family matter and taking things aggressively to facilitate Tapasi for divorce. His brother objected and told her to be out of this matter. Which was normal as per our society. But in movie he was proven as villainous. In other hand the female lawyer used his friend (hiding relation from her husband) for all the mental support, chat, fun etc.... Dumped him only by saying that she wants to start fresh. I respect self esteem from cour of my heart of every human being Male or Female, Rich or poor ..... but at what cost. At the moment of heat things happen. But it's upto a person how to handle the situation. One side is to end everything And otherside try to compromise I dont know i might be absolutely wrong. But i think i am confused. All i want to say that breaking of the family is very painful.

How much is that hedgehog in the window? Pure Oxegon! Hooting Awesomeness! So fresh. Every aspect of talent was exalted. A Banana Split Sundae under a Double Rainbow with a unicorn film with fireworks. Even ants! See this film it's just wonderful. Simply exhilarating! It's a bull's eye narrative about People celebrating all that life brings, happiness, sadnesses, in a nice smart millennial world dashed with Andy Griffith spice meets alien meets big brother. Comedy Action with Speed. Did I say funny. The narrative builds a sentimental bucket list of white picket fence desires that percolate with the inner-longst in finding a place and a dream...a friend. Spending no time to dwell on the past or self pity, each character bravely looks at their weaknesses and strengths as they vibrantly live what Life has given them. The Animation is the finest blue suede fur you'll ever/never have! The Maddest Science Lab on wheels for Royal Villains. Cinematography is picture perfect small town The score is a swelling orchestration like Appalachian Spring meets Norman Rockwell and Air Supply. Right music right mood. The brilliant character portrayals are spectacular. Jim Carrey is entrancing and tight as a drum like a go-go dancer with 100 miles of refurbished defensive baggage James Marsden sweet and likeable and self assured goofy nice guy Ben Schwartz gives cheeky and peaches, whip cream and snails and puppy dog tails. Tika Sumpter charming all bases covered I got your back partner Director Jeff Fowler handles this so finely tuned, the comic situations are with layers so easy breezy. It sparkles and is a spectacle. Writers Patrick Casey, Josh Miller, and Yuji Naka Some of the best natural dialogue without profanity, just one comraderie bff fart joke. Complex genuine heart on the shoulder solid relationships, with mix and scruff and crusty and villains. The best 3 Liners! What is the problem of being the smartest person in the whole world? its that everyone else is stupid. This is pure family adrenaline home run entertainment. Kids will Holler. Adults will Holler. So exciting and firecracky! Final Thoughts This film hits all the dimensional fantasy algorithms. If u believe in fairytales and don't look gift horse's in the mouth If u want good things to happen to you and your loved ones and appreciate sprinkle cupcakes this is our film if u concern urself with the brouhaha of the animation changes, blah blah blah -stay home and look in a mirror and write ur life's screenplay What the world needs now is everything Sonic & Family delivers and portrays. Standing up for Earnest Simplicity and Sincerity. And the rocket's red glare. This is one film not to miss
