Rakesh posted a review for Love Aaj Kal in Movies
It narrates two different stories - one from the 90's and other one from 2020. While in the old one boy leaves everything and everyone for his love(not practical at all) but ultimately life takes his usual course and its too late before he finally realized what he has lost. On the hand is a young and dynamic career focused girl who wants to focus on her career only.. being practical but yes life as we say it takes the usually ups and downs and leaves her in a situation where she needs to decide between her career and love. The connection between both these stories have been so beautifully crafted. After watching this movie twice and living every moment of it I recommend you to watch it atleast once with no explanation and I am sure you will love it. Also, the quote which Randeep Huda says - "jo mein hu aur jo mein ban gaya hu wo dono alag alag log hai" migh strike some different kind of chores in your heart.

This Hitesh Kewaliya directorial is a masterpiece in the sense that it has very courageously raised the issue of problems related to homosexuality in Indian society. The film is packed with some beautiful performances from Ace actors like Gajraj Rao , Neena Ji , Ayushman Khurana and the newbie to the industry, Jitendra Kumar . Each and every character has performed his/her bit in the movie exceptionally well except Jitendra , who despite of being a well known name in the digital space , lacks to match the performances of his co-stars in some part of the narative (especially his last monologue). The film has been shot mostly in a semi-urban household setting ,and the cinematograper is successful in capturing it beautifully . The music of the movie is quite average , especially the background score . All-over this movie is a must watch for everyone in our society because of the topic on which it is made . It has beautifully managed to raise the issue of Homosexuality and Homophobia , and then also it is very entertaing to watch because of some great dialogues with comical punches . The film is full of humour and doesn't give a sense of being a serious film and that is what is great about its writing .

Rakesh posted a review for Bhoot: Part One - The Haunted Ship in Movies
If you're eager to feel some fear and goosebumps then this movie will not stand upto your expectations. Movie is okay but can't be consider as a must watch horror movie, it's a one time watch. I'll be very honest, no doubt I'm a Vicky kaushal fan and again liked his acting in movie "Bhoot- The haunted ship". The bgm, visuals effects, sound effects and cinematography is amazing. Just few minutes ago from the interval, the movie indulges a strong bond with the audience, Ist half is really good and your heart beat may get fasten in few scenes, but after the interval movie isn't scary at all. At some point of time you'll start getting bore and will curse the poor story line in second half. The makeup in second half of the ghost look so over the hype and you'll start laughing by seeing his face. On one side the ghost in first half is creepy and will scare you and vice versa will happen in the second half, they just made it so dramatic. If you're a Vicky kaushal fan then you should watch this movie in theatre because his acting will not disappoint you. After climax the movie gives a hint about the continuation of story for the second part. You may leave the theatre with mix emotions, I appreciate the hardwork of whole team but Dharma again added a typical Bollywood masala in this horror ride

Rakesh posted a review for The Call of the Wild in Movies
Based on Jack London's 1903 classic adventure novel, I remember being so invested with this coming-of-age story that dives deep into the theme of self-discovery. Last year was when I relaxed myself in reading this front to back for the first time while touring Cape Cod with the family. It's essentially the story of a fearless sled dog named Buck, whose great intelligence and strength is realized when he sets out on an incredible journey in discovering his true place in the world. Along the way, he was under the command of various masters, each with their own different mindset. It wasn't until John Thornton (Harrison Ford) came into the scene when the movie really started to take shape. This was when Buck was given the opportunity of a lifetime in experiencing the real world and all the consequences that come with it as time goes by. Seeing that I'm such an avid fan of the classic novel, I was thoroughly impressed with this family-friendly take on the timeless story. Nearly all the familiar themes and messages from it's counterpart that I can recall are here to stay, including a memorable performance from Mr. Ford himself as the gifted caretaker. I wasn't, however, a fan of some of the early caretakers, especially Hal, who was represented as such a cruel master to the sled dogs, that for almost every minute he's on-screen, I'd just want to see Buck let out his temper on him. There were a couple times where he actually managed to do just that, but only for a short time period because he was restrained. I won't give away the ending if anyone's curious in seeing this, but I was absolutely crushed by what this guy did to Ford's character. In conclusion, to anyone out there who's familiar with this all-time great and is wanting to watch a satisfying adaptation with everything they could hope for (especially from the great Harrison Ford), then this would be the movie they're looking for. It's also interesting to note that this very same flick (which was based on 20th Century Pictures' 1935 adaptation, their final distributed film) would become the first ever film released by 20th Century Studios. That alone just goes to show how much of an impact this story had when it first came to be over 100 years ago.

An honest take on the film Movie is very relatable, you do see real life characters like Saif who cannot come to terms with aging and often lock themselves in their college era. Saif has acted well and was best suited for the role. But what has surprised me rather pleasantly is Alaya F. Its hard to believe its her Debut. She acted very well and not once went over the top. She got a certain maturity to the character. She is definitely here to stay! Story like any Hollywood flick could have been 30 mins shorter, in bits it did drag. But overall it's a feel good movie. Kubra sait was fab too! Music is superb. Some peppy remixes and the soft song of father-daughter is my favourite already. Final word! Go for it. very rarely you find characters you can relate to..this one does that.
